TITLE: "Landmarks"
I love the simplicity of barn architecture. Often built by the hands of local farmers and townspeople, a "Barn raising" was a big event in a rural community, where everyone came together to see that the building was strong and well-built. They are the remnants of our ancestors who knew how to do things with their hands, and create these small but sturdy barns that would stand the tests of time, even in environments with harsh weather. This little barn stands surrounded by sagebrush on the plains of central Montana.
