"Bison Plains" - Bison Western Wildlife Nature photography

TITLE: "Bison Plains"
On a foggy Fall morning, a lone Bison with his beautiful long Winter coat pauses to soak up the sun on the dormant plains of South Dakota. I love the beautiful features of these animals, with their massive shoulders, kind eyes, and wooly coat, they seem both intimidating but calm. They are expert grazers, and can find healthy grasses to keep themselves full even in the dead of winter. I have so much respect for these resilient and stoic Bison.

About the Photographer:

Annie travels for her photography full-time, photographing wildlife, landscapes, and rural scenes. She grew up on her family's ranch in Montana, and currently works out of her studio in Billings, Montana. Her work has been featured in television shows, books, and in magazines such as Better Homes & Gardens. She has worked with Crate & Barrel, Target, and several large-scale projects across the United States. While she loves to travel, her true love is being in wide open spaces or out in nature.
