A field of golden grass and little wildflowers surrounded this simple little farmhouse, long ago abandoned on the plains of rural America. I love these tiny simple homes, a reminder of our roots before technology and McMansions dotted the landscape. Built by hand, these small but sturdy homes created a safe haven for humans on the open plains for many years, and survive to tell their stories after all this time. I like to think of them as keepers of memories, surviving to show their fortitude throughout the seasons.

About the Photographer:
Meet Annie, the full-time photographer who travels the world capturing stunning wildlife, breathtaking landscapes, and charming rural scenes. Growing up on her family’s ranch in Montana, she now calls Billings, Montana, home. Her work has graced television shows, books, and magazines like Better Homes & Gardens. She’s collaborated with renowned brands like Crate & Barrel, Target, and has even worked on several large-scale projects across the United States. While she loves exploring new places, her heart truly finds its peace in wide-open spaces and nature.
