TITLE: "The Rainbow Bar"

I love to find vintage neon signs in small towns across the American West. This sign immediately caught my eye for its bright retro colors, but also because of the fantastic Rainbow Trout fish on the side of the sign. This sign has advertised for the Rainbow Bar for the past 50 years in Kalispell, Montana. At night, the rainbow colors light up and draw in patrons from the nearby highway that cuts through the rural fields and towns nearby. These old signs were often hand-painted, and this one has great handmade details on the fish and the retro colors.

About the Photographer:

Annie travels for her photography full-time, photographing wildlife, landscapes, and rural scenes. She grew up on her family's ranch in Montana, and currently works out of her studio in Billings, Montana. Her work has been featured in television shows, books, and in magazines such as Better Homes & Gardens. She has worked with Crate & Barrel, Target, and several large-scale projects across the United States. While she loves to travel, her true love is being in wide open spaces or out in nature.
