TITLE: "Distances"
Old barns have always been a fascination of mine. Each one represents the life of a human who built it. Typically, barns were made by hand by the settlers and farmers, often with other locals' help, so barn-raising became a community event. Many of them are now abandoned, as our ways of life have become more modern, but seeing one standing out in the open plains surrounded by crops and beautiful skies reminds me that life can move at a slower pace and be savored. This one is all that is left of a homestead, and is now far removed from any other structures, standing in the grassy meadows and wildflowers.
